This small rectangle of rosy fabric has been quietly lying amongst a jumble of fabric offcuts in a drawer for several years. Taken out and admired occasionally when it was 'rediscovered' whilst searching for something else. But mostly... just waiting.
Originally part of a 1940's pinny it has that beautiful, faded, soft patina that comes with age. When a recent commission called for an aged and careworn appearance the little scrap's time had come! Combined with a patch of Edwardian lace and a layer of embroidery, it has now re-entered society as an apron, albeit a lot smaller, once more.
