"Cabbage..? Pomegranate..? And is that a strawberry I can smell..?"
Yes! These were just a few of the ingredients integral to this month's Sewcial challenge as participants considered form, texture & colour to create samplers based on a still life tableaux.
Here's a 'flavour' of some of the great results produced.

|Light & shade falling on a pomegranate captured in tiny tonal patches|
|Surface stitches add texture to a piece based on a pear|
|A Trapunto quilted garlic bulb in progress|
|Here, the pastel interior & papery nature of the garlic bulb have been captured beautifully|
|Last, but not least, still life with fabric, thread & cake....|
